The Internationally Acclaimed Photographer, JOE McNALLY...

I get a ton of inspiration and incite from Joe McNally. With his 30 plus years in the field of photography, he is one of the most down to earth, tell it like it is, photographers. Joe has also been described as "Perhaps one of the most versatile photojournalist working today", by a major publication. Joe has shot numerous cover stories for several publications including TIME, Sports Illustrated, LIFE, and the National Geographic  He has been a contract photographer for Sports Illustrated, a staff photographer at LIFE, and is currently a 23 year contributor to the National Geographic.

Joe has several honors that range from Kodak and Nikon, to World Press Photo Foundation and many more. He also won the very first Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Journalist Impact for a LIFE coverage. Joe's work helped generate $2 Million dollars for the relief efforts of 9/11. His fine art work is considered to be one of the most important endeavors to evolve from the 9/11 tragedy. The National Portrait Gallery of the United States has a collection of his prints. Joe also has a publication coverage that was deemed noteworthy enough to be incorporated into the archives of the Library of Congress.

Joe has written two books, The Moment It Clicks, and The Hot Shoe Diaries, both of which keep your attention and interest to a point you find yourself unable to put them down. If you haven't read these books, I highly recommend you do so. I don't often highly recommend to people they do something, but this is a must.

Joe has several advertising and commercial clients including FedEx, Sony, Nikon, Land's End, General Electric, MetLife, Adidas, American Ballet Theater, and the Wildlife Conservation Society, among others.

Formally Introducing Myself

Hello,
My name is Chris.  I love my family, and I’m a people person.  I don't consider myself a professional photographer at this point.  I am however an aspiring photographer, that hopes to capture your attention with things that interest me in the field of photography.  I've only just begun my journey as a photographer.  I constantly look for things to photograph.  I enjoy teaching others the things I know.  And, I plan on sharing my thoughts, experiences, skills, and photographs with you.
I grew up around photography and acquired most of my knowledge from my father, who was a photographer in the U.S. Air Force.  I love photographing the world around me, as do most people who want family keepsakes and photographic memories. I want to take it a step further and share with the world how I perceive what's taking place around me.
You can't tell me we're not making history today, yesterday, or last week.  With the war, the economy, the presidency, even the environment, we all should be making every effort to preserve the images of what's going on around us.  Just think about when you were a child, sitting on your grandparents lap, and being told a story of how things were when they were your age.  Photographs validate stories like those, and I hope to encourage young people of the importance of photography.  It's like the old saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words.".
I look forward to sharing with you all things photographic.  Please be sure to take a look at my web site, and don’t forget follow me on the social networking sites (flickr, twitter, photobucket, & facebook).
